These services are provided from three stations to a service area that includes the City of Quesnel and the CRD's Electoral Area A. Firefighters are
dispatched from the fire halls through a regional 9-1-1 system that is situated in Prince George. The QVFD assists with fire suppression
in the larger Quesnel and District area, as required, under mutual aid agreements that are in place with the West Fraser, Bouchie Lake,
Barlow Creek, Kersley and Ten Mile Fire Departments.
The Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department (QVFD) consists of six FTEs and approximately 40 volunteer members. The full-time staff include the Director
of Emergency Services/Fire Chief, Deputy Chief/Emergency Program Manager, Training Officer, Fire Inspector/Safety Officer, Maintenance Officer and office admin assistant.
