• MSA Evolution 5000 Thermal Imaging camera put into service on Engine 1.
• Quesnel Volunteer firefighters decorate City Christmas trees downtown and in West Quesnel.

News for November 2003 - 27 calls for the month
• Firehall #3 reopened November 25! After six months of active recruiting and training, we now have sufficent volunteers to reopen the Hall. Thanks to the community and our new volunteers for their dedication. • Fire destroys shed in West Quesnel. One person sent to hospital with burns.
• Quesnel Volunteer firefighters joined by Bouchie Lake and Ten Mile Volunteers to pay respect to veterans by marching in Remembrance Day Parade.
• Five new evaluators trained and one recertified for Firefighter Certification Program.
• Live Fire Certification given to Quesnel for exterior props at North Cariboo Fire Training Centre.
• Trailer fire contained to kitchen. Nobody home at time of the fire.
• Quesnel Firefighters Association Annual Banquet a huge success. Ron Richert awarded Firefighter of the Year and Clarence Myhr awarded Associate Member of the Year. Tony Spicer recognized for 21 years of active service.

News for October 2003 - 31 calls for the month
• Fire Prevention Week was October 5 to 11, 2003. "When Fire Strikes, GET OUT STAY OUT".
• Change your clock, Change your battery! Don't forget to change the battery in your smoke alarm.
• Have you practiced your home fire drill yet? Why not do it tonite?
• Technical Rescue team completed 2 days of intensive training at West Pine MDF plant this month.
• 55 firefighters particpated in live burn training on October 25 at remaining Nelson Street houses. Firefighters from Quesnel, West Fraser and Barlow Creek completed the project.
• New Thermal Imaging Camera show ghost in basement of firehall!
• 31 calls for the month of October

News for September 2003 - 18 calls for the month
• Fire Crews return from Cranbrook. Quesnel assists in Lamb Creek Fire.
• New Duty Vehicle in service. Squad 3 is a new 1 ton Ford crew cab 4x4 pick up truck.
• Thirteen new volunteer firefighters are now responding after completing basic training.
• North Cariboo Fire Training Centre taking shape with Smoke House and Level 1 props under construction.
• Quesnel and Area firefighters raise over $6,200 for Muscular Dystrophy.
• 18 calls for the month of September.
